- Fulltime sub-consultant for Africon at the Department of Public Works on the Disposal of Provincial State Land Properties Project as Project Co-ordinator: November 2000 to March 2002.
- Project leader for various Spatial Framework Plans for Anglo Platinum Eastern Limb.
- Consultant for Department of Public Works on the Transfer of Provincial Properties to Municipalities Project, Vesting of Provincial Properties Project, as well as the Disposal of Redundant Provincial Properties Project as Project Manager and Secretary of the Provincial State Land Disposal Committee: 1 September 2002 to 31 August 2004.
- Sub-consultant for Bigen Africa Project Managers in gathering information for the new financial system for the Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality - surveying (140 fieldworkers) and data-capturing (8 data-capturers) of 50 000 households: 5 January to 31 May 2004.
- Compilation and implementation of the Molemole Land Use Management Scheme, 2006 (Capricorn District Municipality).
- Local Government & Housing: Ba-Phalaborwa Land Use Management Scheme, 2007/2008.
- Local Government & Housing: Greater Letaba Land Use Management Scheme, 2008/2009.
- Streetscape Eco-Town Cleaning and Greening Designs and Implementation Plans for Thulamela, Giyani and Bushbuckridge Municipalities, 2010.
- Service provider for DBSA: Assistance to various municipalities in Mpumalanga, Free State and North West Provinces, 2010.
- Ba-Phalaborwa Township Regeneration Strategy, 2010.

Apart from 3 town and regional planners, an environmental practitioner and 4 administrative staff members, the firm has the following equipment to indicate capacity:

- Capacity building and training:
- Training is undertaken / provided when a new project requires certain skills and knowledge not previously acquired.
- Mrs van der Merwe has been active in providing capacity building to provincial government officials (Dept Public Works) from November 2000 to August 2004.
- Capacity building project for Molemole land use officials: September 2006 to March 2007.
- Every year, the firm takes in students for their practical training purposes or for holiday work. In addition, the firm has previously paid for students' university fees in order to enable them to complete their studies. The firm also pays for all new employees driving school fees, to enable them to obtain a driver's license.

Sub-consultants are only appointed after project proposals and fee budgets have been considered and approved by the client. The firm has no fixed agreement with certain sub-consultants, but emerging consultants have preference. |
